Total Tankage
Total Tankage is a fun multiplayer game in which 3 players can play. If you are looking for a game like Tank Trouble , then Total Tankage is the one you want. You can even call it Tank Trouble 5 or Tank Trouble 4.
Tank Battles Inside a Maze
Total Tankage is a top-down tank fighting game where players battle inside maze-like arenas. The main goal is simple. Control your tank, fire at your opponents, and destroy their vehicles before they destroy yours.
You can fight computer-controlled tanks or play against other people on the same computer. The game supports battles with as many as three players, which can turn a small maze into a busy battlefield.
Watch Out for Bouncing Shells
Shooting in Total Tankage takes more thought than simply pointing toward another tank.
Tank shells can bounce from the walls of the maze. A shot that misses its target does not always disappear. It can change direction after hitting a wall and continue moving through the arena.
This makes every shot important. You can use the walls to reach an opponent who hides around a corner. The same trick can also cause trouble for you. A shell may bounce back toward your own tank if you fire from a poor angle.
The maze walls create narrow paths and corners where tanks can hide. You need to watch nearby passages while also paying attention to shots that travel through other parts of the arena.
Collect Helpful Power-Ups
Power-ups appear during battles in Total Tankage.
Picking them up can give your tank an advantage. Some provide protection, while others improve your attacking power. This gives players another reason to move around the map instead of staying in one safe corner.
Going after a useful item can also put your tank in danger. An opponent may already have a clear shot at the same area. Good timing helps you decide when to chase a power-up and when to stay behind cover.
Play Alone or Share the Keyboard
Total Tankage includes computer battles along with local multiplayer matches.
Player one uses the arrow keys to move and M to fire. A second player uses E, S, D, and F for movement and Q to shoot. A third player can use the mouse controls. This setup allows several people to compete on one computer.
The game also includes several play options rather than one single battle type. Sources for the game list five game modes, giving players different ways to set up their tank matches.
Use the Maze Instead of Fighting in the Open
Charging straight toward another tank can end a match quickly. The maze gives you better choices.
You can move behind a wall, wait near a corner, or fire a shell at an angle and let it bounce toward another part of the map. Moving often also makes it harder for an opponent to line up an easy shot.
Multiplayer rounds become even less predictable. One tank may chase you through a corridor while another player fires from a different direction.
Total Tankage keeps its rules easy to learn. Move, aim, shoot, collect useful items, and stay away from enemy fire. The bouncing shells and maze layouts add the extra challenge that makes each tank battle more than a simple shooting match.
