Tiny Tanks Inside a Tricky Maze

Tank Trouble is a top-down tank battle game where small tanks fight inside maze-like arenas. The rules are easy to understand. Drive through the passages, find your opponent, and fire before the other tank gets a clear shot at you.

The maze makes every battle different from a normal shooting game. Walls block direct attacks, narrow passages limit movement, and corners give players places to hide. You need to think about where your tank is going before pressing the fire button.

Tank Trouble includes a single-player mode against a computer-controlled opponent. It also supports local multiplayer for friends sharing the same computer.

Bullets Bounce Off the Walls

The most important feature in Tank Trouble is the way shots behave.

Bullets do not always stop when they hit a wall. They bounce and continue travelling through the maze. This lets you hit another tank without having a straight path toward it. A carefully aimed shot can travel around a corner after bouncing from one or more walls.

The same rule creates danger for the player who fires.

Your own shot can bounce back into your tank. Firing several times inside a small area can fill nearby passages with moving bullets. You need to watch where every shot travels and move away from dangerous rebounds.

This turns the maze itself into part of the battle.

Collect Powerful Weapons

Special power-ups appear around the arena.

Driving over them can give your tank stronger weapons. Different versions of Tank Trouble include equipment such as rockets, lasers, rapid-fire weapons, and other special attacks. These pickups can quickly change a round.

A player who reaches a weapon first may gain a strong advantage. Chasing every pickup can still be risky. An opponent may wait nearby or fire toward the same area.

You need to decide whether the new weapon is worth leaving a safe position.

Play Alone or With Friends

Tank Trouble works well as both a solo battle and a local multiplayer game.

On desktop computers, players use different keyboard sections or the mouse depending on the selected player. One common control setup uses E, S, D, and F for movement with Q to fire. Another player uses the arrow keys and M to shoot. A third player can use the mouse in versions that support three-player matches.

This version also adds touch controls for single-player mode. Mobile and tablet players can control the tank directly from the touchscreen instead of needing a physical keyboard. This makes solo Tank Trouble easier to play on phones and tablets while keeping the familiar maze battles and bouncing shots.

Every Shot Needs Some Thought

Tank Trouble looks simple at first. Small tanks move through a maze and fire at each other.

The bouncing bullets make the battles much less predictable.

A direct shot can miss while a well-placed wall bounce hits the target. A weapon pickup can turn a losing round around. A safe corner can become dangerous after one bullet enters at the correct angle.

Tank Trouble keeps the controls easy while giving players plenty to watch during each match. You can fight the computer on your own, use the added touch controls on a mobile device or tablet in single-player mode, or gather around a computer for local multiplayer tank battles.
