Learn About the Game Woobies

Back in 2011, Kongregate released this casual puzzle gem called Woobies. It’s one of those games where you steer small, round creatures through a series of increasingly clever challenges. Storywise, there isn’t much more than these blob-like critters trying to make it to the exit, but that simplicity is part of its charm.

The goal in each of the fifty levels is to solve physics-based puzzles by playing with size and momentum. Your Woobies can gobble up smaller buddies to get bigger and split apart when they need to slip through tight spots. Gravity does its thing, and you’ll have to navigate around spikes, moving platforms and wide gaps by figuring out how best to absorb, grow or divide your team.

Everything on screen is bright, colorful and cartoonish, which pairs nicely with a lighthearted, upbeat soundtrack. You won’t need a complicated control scheme either—just point and drag to move your Woobies, then click to split them whenever the puzzle calls for a clever workaround.

Originally built as a browser-based Flash game, Woobies lost its official support when Flash was discontinued. Thankfully, it lives on through various emulators and online archives, so you can still dive in and relive those satisfying puzzles.
