Get to know about the game Urban Basketball

Urban Basketball brings street basketball to life with fast matches, powerful slam dunks, and exciting tournaments. You join a basketball team and compete against other players on outdoor courts across the United States.

Each match features two players on each team. You must work with your teammate to score baskets, defend your hoop, and defeat the opposing side.

The game gives you several basketball moves to use during matches. You can dribble past defenders, pass the ball, block shots, and score three-pointers.

Compete in Street Basketball Tournaments

Urban Basketball takes you through different basketball tournaments across the country.

Every match consists of four short quarters. Each quarter lasts 45 seconds, so you have limited time to build a winning score.

Your opponents will try to steal the ball and stop you from reaching their basket. You must move around the court and find open spaces to shoot.

You can also score with a slam dunk by getting close enough to the basket.

Winning matches helps your team progress through the competition.

Use Teamwork to Score More Baskets

Passing plays an important role in Urban Basketball. You cannot always run straight toward the hoop because defenders may block your path.

Look for your teammate and pass the ball when an opponent comes close.

A good pass can create enough space for an easy shot. You can also move closer to the basket for a dunk.

When the other team gains possession, your job changes to defense. Try to steal the ball or block the opponent’s next shot.

Pay attention to both players on the opposing team. One may carry the ball while the other moves toward the basket.

Learn the Basketball Controls

Urban Basketball uses keyboard controls for movement and basketball actions.

In the arrow-key version, the controls are:

  • Arrow Keys: Move your player
  • Z: Shoot or steal the ball
  • X: Boost your speed
  • C: Pass or block

Some versions use W, A, S, D for movement and J, K, L for the matching basketball actions.

The same action buttons serve different purposes during attack and defense.

Improve Your Shooting and Defense

Avoid taking every shot from a long distance. Move into a better position before shooting.

Use the speed boost to get past a defender or catch up with an opposing player.

Passing becomes useful when two defenders surround the player carrying the ball.

Keep an eye on the remaining time. A close match may depend on one final basket.

Urban Basketball combines quick matches with team play. You can practice shooting, passing, and defending while trying to lead your team through the street basketball tournaments.
