Play Online Star Wars – Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith (GBA)

I remember picking up Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith on the GBA and being surprised at how much Lucasfilm managed to squeeze into such a tiny cartridge. You’re basically running through all the key scenes from the movie, but transformed into side-scrolling action levels and a couple of top-down missions. It feels a bit like the classic run-and-slash games you’d see on earlier handhelds, with lightsaber battles peppered by Force-pushes and the occasional hover tank segment. Controls can be a tad finicky—sometimes my button mashing would send poor Obi-Wan careening off a platform—but when you nail a perfect dual saber duel, it’s oddly satisfying.

What really won me over were the unlockables. Beyond just replaying scenes, you can hunt down hidden artifacts to unlock alternate lightsaber colors. Suddenly that blue saber is yellow or green, and it feels like you’ve got a real in-game reward for exploring each corner of the level. I also dug the little cutscenes that bookend each chapter; they aren’t full-motion video, but the pixel art sequences capture enough of the movie’s drama to keep you hooked. It’s not the deepest story experience on the Game Boy Advance, but if you’re a prequel geek, it hits all the beats you remember.

One thing to be honest about: the map layouts can feel a bit repetitive after a while, and there’s no save-anywhere feature—you get a password system that feels downright archaic. Still, if you’re on a long car ride or killing time between classes, it does a solid job of scratching that Star Wars itch. Plus, there’s something charming about revisiting that era when handheld adaptations were all about pixelated thrills and inventive workarounds for big-screen blockbusters.
