Introduction to Sift Heads 4

You drop straight into Vinnie’s shoes again, and right away you can tell this installment didn’t come to mess around. There’s a short cut-scene that picks up where the last one left off, and before you know it you’re sneaking into warehouses, tailing bad guys and unleashing everything from silenced pistols to heavy rifles. Dialogue’s sparse but punchy—enough to keep you plugged into the story without getting bogged down in chatter.

Missions usually give you a single objective, like “hit that sniper on the roof” or “plant the bug in the safe room,” and then leave it up to you to choose your approach. You’ve got cash for weapon upgrades, different ammo types and a few gadgets, and it’s oddly satisfying to tweak your load-out until every shot lands exactly where you want it to. Levels have a nice mix of close-quarters gunfights and more open arenas, so you’ll find yourself ducking for cover one minute and lining up sniper shots the next.

It’s far from the most complicated shooter you’ll ever play, but that stripped-down focus is part of its charm. There’s something fun about clicking your way through each scene, watching enemies react to your every move, and racing the clock when alarms start blaring. If you’ve got a soft spot for lean, action-packed missions where you’re the proverbial one-man army, this one scratches that itch perfectly.
