Maxi Yatzy – Roll Six Dice and Build the Highest Score
Maxi Yatzy is a dice game where you try to earn as many points as possible by making different number combinations. It follows the familiar rules of Yatzy but adds a sixth die and more scoring options.
You can collect matching numbers, make straights, and try to roll six identical dice for the biggest reward.
The game combines luck with careful decisions. You never know exactly which numbers the dice will show, but you can choose which ones to keep and which ones to roll again.
Roll the Dice and Choose Your Numbers
Every turn begins with six dice.
Roll them and examine the numbers that appear.
You can keep any dice that look useful and roll the others again.
For example, imagine your first roll gives you three dice showing 5. You can keep those three and roll the remaining dice to try to collect more fives.
You normally have up to three rolls during a turn.
You do not need to use every roll. Sometimes your first or second attempt already provides a good combination.
Once you finish rolling, you must choose a scoring category.
Discover the Different Scoring Combinations
Maxi Yatzy features 20 scoring categories.
The first six categories award points for collecting particular numbers.
You can score ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, and sixes.
Other categories reward matching groups.
A pair requires two dice with the same number. You can also aim for three pairs, three of a kind, four of a kind, or five of a kind.
The game includes special combinations called Villa and Tower.
Villa requires two separate groups of three matching dice. Tower combines four matching dice with another pair.
Straights reward particular sequences of numbers.
Try to Roll a Maxi Yatzy
The biggest combination is Maxi Yatzy.
You need all six dice to show the same number.
For example, six dice showing 4 make a Maxi Yatzy and earn 100 points.
This combination is difficult to achieve, so you may need several lucky rolls.
You can also earn a 100-point bonus by reaching at least 84 points in the upper number section.
These rewards can make a big difference to your final total.
Plan Your Scorecard Carefully
Every scoring category can only be used once.
You need to think about which combination gives you the best result before choosing it.
Avoid using a valuable category for a small score when another option works just as well.
Sometimes you may need to enter zero in a category because your dice do not match any useful combination.
Maxi Yatzy rewards players who balance taking safe points with trying for bigger rewards.
After completing the 20 scoring rounds, compare the final totals.
The highest score wins.
Maxi Yatzy offers a number game where every roll brings a fresh decision. Its six dice, extra combinations, and large bonuses make building a strong scorecard an enjoyable challenge.
