Introduction to Hulk Madness
I still remember the first time I played Hulk Madness—there’s something oddly satisfying about charging through city streets, smashing crates and cars with that iconic green rage. You start off as Banner, sneaking around labs and dodging guards, and then BAM, you turn into the Hulk and everything in sight becomes your punching bag. There’s a real thrill in how the levels shift from tense stealth sections to open, chaotic brawls.
The enemies in Hulk Madness are such a fun mix. At one point you’re wrestling with bulky Mandroids, then a few screens later you’re ripping through Abomination’s robotic henchmen. Each fight makes you feel more powerful, especially when your health bar dwindles and you know you’ve got to rely on pure Hulk strength to power through. The game even teases a few puzzle moments—like rolling boulders or finding switches—but it never takes you too far away from the core smash-fest.
Visually, the game nails the comic-book vibe, with bright colors and exaggerated animations whenever you land a crushing blow. And sure, it’s a bit of an old-school throwback compared to today’s blockbusters, but that’s part of its charm. There’s no hand-holding; you figure out secret paths by trial and error, which makes every successful level clear feel like a real achievement. In short, Hulk Madness captures what’s best about being the big green guy: pure, unfiltered mayhem with just enough challenge to keep you coming back for more.
