Get to Know About Balloons vs. Zombies (Version 1)

Have you ever thought about what would happen if you armed yourself with nothing but a bunch of colorful balloons against an army of shambling zombies? That’s pretty much the whole charm of Balloons vs. Zombies (Version 1). It kicks off with you standing your ground in a cute, cartoonish yard, ready to blow up some undead—literally. The premise is so simple that you’ll probably spend the first few waves smiling at how absurdly satisfying it feels to pop a zombie with a bright red balloon.

As you move through each level, you’ll collect helium points, which act as currency to unlock new balloon types and upgrades. You can switch between speedy yellow balloons that dart across the screen, heavy-duty blue ones that pack a punch, or go wild with explosive purple variants. The strategy really comes into play once you start chaining pops for combo bonuses, because let’s face it, watching a cluster of zombies go boom in rapid succession never gets old.

Visually, the game keeps things fresh with quirky backdrops—graveyards, abandoned carnival grounds, a moonlit rooftop—and each area brings a fresh set of challenges. There are boss rounds that demand you rethink your balloon lineup, and occasional power-ups that can turn the tide if you’re about to get overrun. By the time you wrap up Version 1, you’ll have unlocked enough gadgets and secret skins to wonder what whimsical horrors Version 2 might throw at you. It’s lighthearted, addictive, and exactly the kind of goofy defense romp you didn’t know you needed.
